Wicked Toy Pics of the RX8

I have some nice pictures of a RX8. I know all your cars are real I know. But if the japanese can build such an great car, who knows huh?

I think everyone that drives an RX8 should see these pictures. Oh another, just a quick explanation about the decals. In a video game called INitial D, a bunch of young japanese mountain street racers, drift to see who is the fastest. And of course, the RX8 has to be in it, or it wont be any good right?!

If you want to know more about Initial D, go do a search.

Here are the pictures.

The original transformer didnt come this way, I added the decals and little touches to the dash board.

Oh you better not let your Mustang friends see the next one

Tell me what you think of the pics, and INitial D>

I dont have any room any more for my toys. And I dont want to give this away or sell it to someone that is so underserving such as non RX8 owners and drivers. I am selling this baby whoever is interested message me, and I will tell you how much.

I got the blue plastic one from Toys-R-Us and tried to transform it -- it is not nearly the quality of the transformers my son had in the late 80's.
I should have just left it in the box.

The Hasbro ones are made out of plastic and feel pretty lightweight and flimsy. I've seen the japanese ones by takara which are die-cast and are of much better quality. There's even a mazdaspeed one called laserwave (decepticon). Not cheap though, they run about 70 bucks!

Actually, I believe the MS version is modeled after Shockwave (Megatron's 2nd in command on Cybertron). I haven't found any places that sell Shockwave though. The Japanese ones have some die-cast parts, but it still has a good amount of plastic. You can get them on fleabay for about $50 I think.

The blue MS version is Shockwave and he "theoretically" should be out in stores now. Hasbro had a big boo-boo in that the distribution of the figure was lop-sided. I know of some people who claim that they shelves are packed with him where as some people (like us) have never seen it in stores before.

I would go Ebay or online toy stores for Shockwave

For some reason, the US Alternators version calls him Shockblast. BUt the Japanese Binaltech version is still Shockwave. The purple BT version looks better than the blue Alt version IMO.

Cool, has anyone ever tried to drift their RX8? Especially in snow?I have been playing a car simulator game called INitiad D, Version 3, they have the Rx8 in it as full tuned, tried drifting in a snow stage, found it difficult. Anyone out there tried it? I know its off topic. Actually I am selling mine for I mean my transformer for $30 Cdn(Canadian), same retail price you can find if you can find it in Walmart.

Hasbro has this silly copyright issue with the name Shockwave. I believe that it was some stereo or crappy audio thing that had the name Shockwave licensed. Regardless, I still refer to him as Shockwave. His license plate even says "SHKWAV" to say "I'm Shockwave! Not Shockblast!" Oh also the Japanese refer to him as Laserwave and the BT version is actually the same color as the Hasbro version. I think the color of the picture on the box throws things off and the metallic paint does give it a purple hue (still blue though)

i think its a little tacky to be blunt. Just cuz its a rotary doesnt mean its apart of redsun... the redsun only belongs on the 10th aniv. FC. plus redsuns doesnt exsist nemore its project D
oooh and emperors are only EVOs

I know what you mean, with the Anime. But in the arcade game the RX8 is with the Redsuns, so go figure. LoL!
