This thread ought to be a lesson in being a little more modest and not building up expectations. At this point, I'm afraid any picture you post is going to be a letdown.

I won a car show in 1976 with my Ford Pinto station wagon. Had it all tricked out...lifted in the back...curtains on the back windows.
Rocking 8 track player with 2 Jensen 6X9s in the back and 2 in the front.
Yes....4..count them.....4 6X9s.

I won a car show just now. Out of 1 car, I won first place. It happened in the city of Los Angeles, located in my parking garage space at work. My Stock Bose Audio was the bomb. My super awesome suicide doors impressed the Judges (Homeless people around the corner, and the misc. crack ****** here in Downtown LA), and my ultra rare Sunlight Silver paint job help me achieve this goal.
All this hard work left me tired, so I'll post the pix when I wake up from a long nap.
Good Job baseballgenius80!

Ok, I've procrastinated long enough. Finally, here are the pics everyone has been waiting for. About time I got off my butt, huh? Give me just a few moments to upload all of them, right now it keeps telling me the file is too large.

is this a joke...this thing won a car show? The only things you have on your car are tv's, sounds, and a ugly black stripe. Man those judges must have been smoking crack when they judged your car..hahaha

I knew there would be some bashers out there. Remember, the judges did the judging, not me. I put my car in the show for fun with no intention of winning. Stuck around for the trophy presentation, and ended up winning one. I'll admit, the black stripe doesn't look good in the pics. There is some detailed pinstriping also involved which helps make the stripe look better, however, you would have to see it in person because it doesn't come out well in the pics. That little black thing on the trunk, that is the XM antenna. There is also a 40GB IPOD wired straight into the factory head unit. Those are two things that you can't really see in the pics. For detailing, I use a detailing kit I got out of JC Whitney. I don't remember the exact product name however. But it seems to work good. You are all entitled to your own opinions on this. Personally, my friends and myself all seem to like the way the car looks. And like I said earlier, I only went into the car show with the intention of having fun.
The car is certainly unique and no one should bash you for that. Plus, you've modded it to your desires which is what modding is all about. Personally I think what you've done is great. Regarding the black stripe, you're right that the pix don't quite show it off bcos I cant help thinking that it would look better if the rest of the car were black too (oops!). It's like CF hoods, some like 'em, others hate 'em.
Congrats on the 2nd place. I'm not lovin' the stripe either but it is your car and if that is what you like, then more power to you.
I'm curious - and I'm not asking this to bash. What other cars were you "competeting" against? What won first?
I have to say though that just showing up to watch then winning must have been a kick. That actually happened to me once, before I did ANYTHING to the car. Pulled up and parked just to walk around and see what was there. Walked back to the car about an hour later and there was a numbered piece of paper stuck on my windshield. I took it off and asked one of the people there running the event what this was for. He said they put them on the windows for the people who haven't registered their vehicle yet. I told him I wasn't in the show..just watching.
He seemed disappointed - said no other 8 was going to be in the show. I thought what the heck but then found out the results weren't going to be announced until 5:00 that afternoon (it was 11:00 in the morning - I wasn't going to hang around all day.).
Guess it was the novelty of having one of the first 8's in town.
