I installed the RB REVi last week...getting better gas mileage, so maybe that means I'm running leaner?

Has anyone tuned their CZ for a REVi intake? If so, are your maps available?

I will post my results once I have the CZ installed and tuned.

If I ever get my CZ back, I'll need to do this since I have the REVi installed. Waiting to get the ignition circuit fixed. As soon as this happens, I'll post mine also.

i'm trying to figure out why the REVi would change things as in open-loop the computer is taking the MAF number and multiplying it my a number in the map for fuel control, so if the REVi is flowing more the computer should compensate with more fuel. Better fuel milage is probably comming from just having less losses in the intake system drawing fresh air into the engine.

unless the REVi has changed the ditribution of air across the MAF so the MAF calibration is slightly out of whack which would raise/lower the a/f ratio in open loop conditions...

I just sent my CanScan back for repair, so I haven't done any tuning since installing the REVi, but Polak says that the REVi, was running much leaner on his dyno runs. I would have thought the ECU would compensate as well, but Polak's statement seems to support the idea that the MAF is out of cal with the REVi.

Acutally, this is an interesting theory. Maybe the REVi, isn't that much better at geting air to the engine, maybe its just fooling the ECU into running leaner by changing the flow of air around the MAF! thoughts?

Here is my AFR with my current mods, REVi, RP SuperCAT midpipe, and REV8 Catback.

When I get my CZ back, this is going to be interesting to tune from looking at the AFR in this graph. I took this the other day at 6:30AM at about 58 degrees.

Looks pretty rich. Of course, that's what the MAF saw. I wonder what a tailpipe sensor would have recorded... I wonder what Polak saw that made him conclude the REVi was making it run significantly leaner....

What's weird, it looks like I went open loop at 3600 RPM....

I noticed that too, but I guess it could be running closed-loop, but just rich as hell....

According to Dan Harrison, there is a message in the CAN that indicates open/closed loop. I asked him to include the ability to log that tag on the next generation of the CanScan.

Meeting up with Dannobre this weekend at the Northwest Rotor Rally in Wenatchee. I had him repair mine, so next week we shall see.
