Anyone in CA. using the REVI intake?

Was thinking about ordering it in, and heading over to Tripoint...

My question is, CA. is very strict on smog, i wanted to see if anyone else had problems getting there registration tags with the REVI installed..

Any opinions on whether the REVI is the best intake available?

I have the Revi Intake, Duct, and RB exhaust. (also located in CA)

I wouldn't worry at all about trying to pass smog. It'll be a few years before we have to do it and I recall some forum members hooking it up to a smog machine and still passing with flying colors.

The intake rocks!

I don't know if it will pass the visual test if they pop the hood. I don't think it would effect emissions though.

I doubt most Smog techs are gonna look that closely...RB intake looks really close to stock. (minus the big logo)

I went to a shop today and they wouldn't even run the test because I didn't have "EO#" sticker... Maybe I should just take it somewhere else?

I had no problem with getting the car smogged with the RB intake installed.
I suppose certain smog stations are more lenient than others. The guy even commented on the intake but said nothing about it being an issue.

Guys,

Good news... maybe. We just finished testing the REVi for a CARB exemption, and now the test results have been sent to CARB for confirmation. We've got our fingers crossed, much depends on how CARB decides to round off a test result number. We'll know more in the coming days/weeks... if they accept the results I'll post the good news up on our site.

I just noticed your last post was in 2005!

Much respect, from someone who first dealt with RB in 1976!!

Not sure if this was posted already or not, but for those who are interested: the exemption has been granted. From now on, the REVi is CA emission test legal.

Here is how to get a CARB exemption decal: http://www.racingbeat.com/mazda/perf...on-decals.html
