Aesthetics aside, I wonder if it would be possible to just get different axles or extend the original ones wider so the wheels would be outside the fenders. At least that way this vehicular atrocity wouldn't ride so high.

Not that it would make 40" rims any less retarded, but at least there would be less of a chance of a strong gust of wind toppling that POS.
