It may sound stupid, but it's certainly fun to try.
After putting in 500 miles and stuck in the Bay Bridge maze to the toll I came up with a less-than-brilliant idea - let's practice launching!
I finally got to the signal. I didn't try to rev it up first, just normal acceleration from stop. Light turned green. I stepped on the gas and dumped the clutch (the civilized way). I could hear the sound from the Renesis echoing among the cars to my sides. By the time my brain told my right arm to shift I heard the warning buzzer. Buzzer kicked in for a second and I have shifted into second. The car continued to surge forward until I shifted into third at around 60 and called it a day.
I must say I have never been so happy with the sound from a car engine before. The shriek of Renesis sounds even better than the scream from my friend's C4S boxster 6.
On a side note, the shriek was lost in the sea of sonic boom echoing among the buildings from the Blue Angels' F18s practicing in San Francisco yesterday.

But from what you said about the engine in the other turbo thread, you don't mind tearing apart an engine. I on the other hand, have NO idea how to do something like that. The biggest job I've ever done is replace the main air conditioner system components in a car...
Thanks! I was pretty proud of myself. I did it in the same amount of time (4 hours) that the shop's were going to charge & I saved myself over $500. Not too bad for a computer geek I guess.
