Just to let everyone know, Ted Gawle at John Hine in San Diego told me that they have two new red grand touring RX-8's available right now! Don't know the color of the leather but I think at least one is red/black. They are asking MSRP. Tell Ted I told you, he's a pretty low key type salesman.

Unless they got new ones in, last week they had one red 6-speed GT (with black/red leather), and one silver auto GT on the lot. They had another red 6-speed GT inside but it was a customer order and had a "sold" tag on it. I suppose it's possible that customer backed out, though...
Ted just emailed me to tell me he has one black and one blue one too with the same options. The blue one has the nav system. Ted had 6 total coming in that were not allocated to any preorders, one of which was mine. They made have added to that as well I don't know. Well I backed out of the one of red ones for now (mine came in last Friday) I'm sorry to admit. I'm still very tempted. I saw a black one tonight, my first on the street, at Kragan's and it looked very nice. Still like the red, silver, and blue ones the most though.

Is that in Mission Valley shopping center? I can either drive my wife's new RSX or my CRX-SI. That's so close to Hine I might be tempted to go over there after you leave for my test drive!

Yeah, it's real close to Hine. Follow the link in my other post and you'll find map and address for D&B. Who knows, if you're real nice maybe you'll talk someone into driving an 8 at the meet?

That would be cool. I think if I show up I'll bring my digital camera for some pics. So I finally got enough posts to add my RX-7 pic. Love the profile....just washed.
