Socal Dyno Tuning By Mazsport Sept. 20th

Gentlemen,

I have worked with Rotary Reliability and Racing as well as Mazsport to setup dyno tuning sessions with Scott from Mazsport. Scott can work with almost any EMS, but please let me know what EMS you are running prior to signing up. Here are the details:

Location: Rotary Reliability and Racing, Santa Ana, CA http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=e...wloc=addr&om=1
Time: September 20th 9a-5p
Tuning: Street/Dyno Tuning by Scott
Cost: $400. Payments must be made IN ADVANCE. Paypal, Checks, and Money Order/Cashiers checks will be accepted. (Paypal please add 3% for processing fees)

Currently there are 6 spots available.
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.

If there are more spots required, we can extend to a second day. First come first serve on this one. This is a rare opportunity to catch Scott in Southern California. Take advantage while you can.

Word of Caution: do NOT use the front entrance to R&R if your RX is lowered. There are two driveways, use the back one since that's where you'll need to get your car in the bay.

Been to R&R a few times so you gotta trust me on this one.

Well, if you guys have the event, I'll show up, but I wont be "tuning" as I am tuned and don't have an Int-X, anyway.
But I certainly show up after my work is done at 2pm.
It'll be neat!

how much does a dyno pull normally cost? $400 seems like a lot- even tho i have no idea what the price is.

Normally you are going to pay Scott $300+ and then rent the dyno time. This price includes dyno time and Scott time. This isn't for one pull either. This is for your car to get up on the dyno and do multiple pulls until Scott is happy. There will also be some basic street tuning performed.

I am not going to quote out other shops expenses, but I can tell you this is a pretty darn good price. Especially given the quality of the tuner. Scott is not some shadetree mechanic pretending he knows how to tune a rotary. Scott a real deal rotary tuning expert, and an RX8 specialist to boot.

Of course. If this doesn't get off the ground though, there may be nowhere to hang.

Does this help people make the commitment?
Anyone in SoCal want to see the Pettit s/c, the Paradox Performances new high efficiency radiator and the Paradox handy work? We'll be at the event and it looks like MM will be there also.

If we don't get enough people looking for tunes, I might take the day off and we can party at my pad. I will have a slightly modified RX8 we can play with also.

Guys, I am going to fill the first spot with myself. I know there have to be people with INT-X or other EMS out there who need some tuning. The price seems pretty good to me, and I can't see there being a better time to get some HP numbers on your car and get it tuned than right before SS.

Dannobre,

I will be happy to do some Friday AM stuff if we can get a couple more people online.

Others,
I worked with Rotary Reliability to get the price a little lower. We can now do it for $375 per person, but I doubt it will get any lower than that. But I need at least 4 people for that price to stick. I have myself and Dannobre so far.

Lets get this going eh?

Shane
