Smile Santa Monica pre-order

Ordered my Green/Chap leather8 last Tuesday. $500 deposit and June delivery. My dealer, Resa, assures me they deal at MSRP and no "hollow mark-ups". When the car comes in I can decide if I like it. If I change my mind he says they'll just sell it to someone else. He told me that the whole reason for pre-sales is to get the car for MSRP. The guy who walks in to buy in July will have to pay a premium.
I found his attitude refreshing. Hopefully nothing will change by this summer.

Browning in Cerritos is doing the same, but

other area dealers were not coming even close.

I had a couple tell me up front they expected a 3-4000 mark up on their cars. And, they thought they'd get it . . . that I should jump an an MSRP offer.

But, I wonder if their mark-ups are just a ploy for so their line sales guys can work folks back to MSRP . . .

Still, I HATE the thought of paying MSRP, but am smitten by the car.
