Our first meeting featured four RX-8s plus another will-be-an-owner-by-Wednesday. We parked the cars so they were visible along Fremont Avenue, a well-traveled route, lots of people gawking. Three Winning Blues, one Titanium Gray.
Attending were rxphink, MVCalypso, SGC and madhaus with their 8s (rhphink has the grey one) and Mazdabob with his bottle of Nordic green touchup paint. We never did see ****** and it looks like rotordude missed us as well. That means we'll just have to have another meeting, preferably with more 8s. We don't mind driving to another spot as we've passed the magic 700 mile mark.
After lots of rotary chitchat, the three blue 8s had a short but exhilerating run up Stevens Canyon and through some twisty turny mountain roads that met up with Highway 9. From there, SGC and MVCalypso headed uphill to Highway 35 (Skyline) and points north while we went down to Saratoga and back home in hopes of meeting a buyer for my 89 Acura Legend.
Rotordude, give us the details on the RX-7 club meeting!

Either Stevens Canyon or Redwood Gulch, between Cupertino and Saratoga.

I had the fun of being #2 in the 3 blue RX-8 drive, so I've experienced the view "the other guy" gets both before (rear-view mirror) and after (ahead).
It was also fun watching all the double-takes as we drove past.

If you take the pictures, you don't get to be in them. This 8 belongs to both of us (Cliff & Maddi) and it's really funny how much we both want to run to the store for a half gallon of milk... honest honey, I don't mind!
Anyway I got lots more pictures to share with those attending. Also MVCalpyso took pix too, please post them!

I'm sorry to have missed the gathering, guys.
The power supply on my flat panel display croaked so I was without net access.
Great pictures, though ... and so close to
where I live (Stevens Canyon and Santa Lucia).
I'm out of town Wed to Monday so I'll catch you when I get back.
Attention Moderator, please make this one sticky like the So-Cal club.
brothervoodoo, if you want an SF get-together, suggest a date and meeting venue. If we meet at one of those landmarks, where we going to get parking for all those fine vehicles? (imagine 6 RX-8s going down Lombard or lined up for Coit tower parking).
