March 26th California speedway, Fontana California drag racing

Anyone interested in taking your car to California Speedway March 26th? ( Fontana ) They are having a drag race that day. I am thinking about going, but would much much rather go with other fellow rotor heads. I think it would be really cool to show up with a bunch of us as a group.
Thinking maybe we could all meet there and pit next to each other.
Anyways, post here if interested.
I think it cost $10 to spectate (and park in the parking lot) or $20 to race and obviously park in the pits.

one more thing.... it starts at 12:00 noon. so this means we should be there maybe at 10:30 ~ 11:00 to be sure we get a spot. ( i dont mind hanging out in the parking lot talking to fellow rotor heads ) and i am not sure when its done, but its fairly late. so i would count on the whole day.

Looks interesting. Do you have a web site linked to this event so that we can review the other rules and regs. I wonder how many trips down the drag you get for 20 bucks. It would be cool to get some time slips.

What time are you going to be there?
I have something going on early in the morning, but I might be able to go by around 11am.

In regards to the racing...
Do I need any special equipment?
If I do, I guess I can't race cuz I don't have any. Otherwise, I'd like to get a time on my 8 also. It would be kind of cool to have both our yellow 8's racing down the 1/4 mile.

You have the contact list, call me and we can meet up on Saturday morning.

you do not need a helmet unless you run somthing like 11.99 or faster...... all you need is a safe, NO LEAKS, seat belt working, all lug nuts, battery secured car.

you know, all the things you should have anyways.

You must wear long pants and shoes. Bring a helmet just in case if you have one. You never know

I got there are 2pm.
Crazy huge crowd. My guess is about 1500-2000 cars there to race.
They were only letting about 400 cars in to race, the rest were allowed to watch.
speeddemon32 got there at 12. He made it in. The rest of the rotaries were not able to get in.
However, I did see a Titanium Grey /spoiler go in early on, but he wasn't there with us. Not sure is he's even on this forum.

Represent ... speeddemon32 ...

Yep...
Don't worry, like I said. There were so many cars there I didn't get to race.
Next time I'll probably get in line in the morning.

well i did a poor job representing the mazda this time.

i could not get the tires to hook up what so ever. so i didnt get any mesurable times. i only got to make 3 runs, seems like a lot of time and money for only 3 runs, mabe next time ill go to LACR. i have been to both tracks, LACR hooks up better, but its a farther drive, and higher elavation. i used to run 1/2 second slower there when i used to race. i wish i hade 4th run, i wanted to try launchin from an idle to see if i couldkeep the tires from spinning and get a mesurable number. all well........ next time.

maybe next time we could have a larger group and all get together around 11:30 there. i really wanter to race another yellow RX-8.

the next race is apr 9th. the same day as our monthly meet.

edit:
oh yeah, and your 1500-2000 car guess is a little high. i think it was something more like almost 1,000 cars. they let 400 run, and they turned away about half the crowd.
