Looking for a rotary specialist in CA Bay Area
I know about Rotorsport. They are pretty far. I need something closer to the east bay. I don't need someone crazy who has been building rotaries since the Cosmo, I just need a dude that knows how the Renesis works.

Ricks Rotary in east bay (pleasanton). He has been around FOREVER.. was my mechanic for my rx7 back in 97. He knew his stuff then. I'm sure he still knows it.
He owns his shop and is the mechanic. So if he's still in business, there must be a reason why.
Ricks Performance | Auto Repair Pleasanton CA | Brake Repair Dublin CA | Timing Belt Replacement Livermore CA | Auto Service 94566 | Wheel Alignment 94568 | Auto Repair 94551
And looking at his site.. he must have expanded a bit.

don't catch rick on a bad day, he's often threatened to quit working on rotary powered cars and often won't touch a modified car. his rates are also fairly steep, so if it isn't in fact something related to the engine you have other choices. rotorsport is usually who i direct people to in the bay, rick can usually manage but his emoness and prices usually stall my recommendations.
all stock rotaries and if you have deep pockets= ricks
modified rotaries and equal or better quality= rotorsport
so it's usually up to your location and if your car is modified or not, granted there's not much you can tweak on an 8.. if you're looking to have the car modified you should probably call rick and ask before wasting time driving there.

Pleasanton is much closer, but I don't have much cash so maybe Rotorsport is a better fit for me, I don't know. it depends on how much more expensive Rick is. Thanks a lot for the info guys.
