Claim for delivery this week.

I called my dealer in Santa Monica today. He claims I will have my 8 by the end of the week. As he put it "the cars are being held in San Pedro for emission testing".
I'm not really convinced of that reason but I hope he's right about the delivery.

Anyone out there interested in my lovingly cared for '93 Miata? It needs a good home.

Grrrr, I just called John Hine, the Manager (big E) was told by Mazda reps not to expect the cars to be LOADED ONTO THEIR TRUCKS until next week, 14th-17th or so.

Hmm... I guess that puts me into next week as well. With all these conflicting stories about when the cars will arrive, I think the best bet is to just sit on our asses and wait for a phone call.

If the pre-order email system worked properly and we actually got emails immediately when status changed (hit port, put on truck, delivered to dealer) I think it would stop all this guesswork and make people a lot happier.

If my soon-to-be-former dealer is correct then there is supposed to be a roll-out on the 21st of this month. I don't know if I'll get the one I orderd any time this side of Thanksgiving but I do hope you ALL get what you ordered by the end of the month - just don't crow so much!

weird. Tustin dealership called me and said that they would have 2 dealer cars to allow people to test drive on Friday afternoon(tomorrow), and that the 8's for sale would be at the dealership the following Friday.

Also Mazdaspeed called me and told me that the Black 8's would not be shipping till the end of the month. I find this information to be a little odd, however-even if it is from a reliable source. Did anyone with a Black 8 and a VIN number get confirmation of their 8 at port? I am ordering my 8 from Mazdaspeed and dont have a VIN number, so I can't run a check.

Thanks!
