Are ANY RX-8's in the L.A. area, just to looksee?

Hello,

So, I've pre-ordered. But, I am so itchy to SEE an RX-8 in person. I'm getting a little batty. They were not at the Ontario Autoshow.

Are ANY appearances planned in March/April 2003? I'm told there likely won't be one at the Mazda Speed driving programs in L.A. and Orange County.

You'd think a demo car would be SOMEWHERE!

Leads anyone?

Missed L.A. show, didn't get the bug for the RX-8 until I started seeing photos of the darn thing.

I have a plan to eyeball one rather covertly. I'll post some pix if my intelligence is accurate. James Bond's got nothing on us Forum members. <grin>

There may be a couple in Orange County.

I think there's something in Las Vegas. Not sure if you'd go there but I think Boowana mentioned something about it.

So much for thinking I'd find some demos/prototypes in the Mazda lot. I'd been told they were there by some Mazda staff, but found only some very slick Miatas, sport Proteges and 6's.

Oh well. Nice day for a drive to deepest Orange County.

The saga continues as the search goes on <grin>

since Mazda's R&D center is here in Irvine, i have spotted a couple.
there was a red one running around before...someone else posted pictures of the yellow one at the R&D place. he said it might have been for a commercial shoot.

i have passed by the place every once in a while, just to see if the guys might be testing it or just cruising in it.

I dont think there r anymore of the shows for RX8 right now...i guess u just have to wait until i get me car then so i could so u...

There will be an rx-8 on display at the mazdarevitup event this saturday and sunday. I think its too late to compete but it's open to the public. Check it out at mazdarevitup.com

Correct. The 8 will be displayed at both the Hollywood Bowl and El Toro upcoming events.

The R&D in Irvine had a titanium model sitting in it's lot the other day... saw another one at an import car show... LB Grand Prix had one in the Lifestyle Expo... seen at least 3 others driving around the OC freeways. Now I just have to catch one with the door open, key in the ignition, ready to go.
