Why we can't use [img] tag in DIY forum?

Please lets us use [IMG] tag in the DIY forum.
So we could add images between text.
It should help people to understand DIY a lot easier.

Thanks.

because if people used the img tag then when the person lost the host for the pics we would lose the pics from the DIY

ok,

i am not real sharp at this stuff. but i do manage to upload the right size photos and tag them in day to day posts.

why cannot that be done in the diy section? that is the bread and butter here.

much more important that look i got 20s streched!

limit picture size? is that the issue. very little abuse in the diy section.

beers

With all do respect.
I dont think remove IMG tag will stop people from upload photo from other host.

i'm with Zoom here.. if you make a DIY then spend the time to upload to the native host. It might be a pain but it ensures that the pics stay with the DIY.

Agreed it should be uploaded to the site... but again, some people just upload to other hosts for who knows why... its not stopping it as it is

Well, I upload photo here.
But just wanna put photo between text to make DIY explanation easier.

I don't really understand why people want to upload photo else where, since this forum already support photo post.

I thought we have automatic photo resize if the photo is too big....
It works great in member albums.
