WTF!!

everytime I search these forums, I get this message...

Sorry! The administrator has specified that you can only do one search every 20 seconds.

Ummm... ok, that's fine, whatever.... but I haven't done a search before this attempt.

[Conspiracy theory]: Make a new post on a subject that may have been covered in the past, and by doing this, it allows the POST ****** to up their post count by saying...

"do a search"

Searches slow down the database for everyone. Most vbb admins have it turned on also.

But if he hasn't already done a search, it shouldn't give that as a response, should it?

"do a search"

If I search for a user, then search for his/her post's it does that.

Of course thats 2 searches.

Does the "new posts" count as a search?

If using the search feature, select "advanced search', your criteria(keywords, usernames, sub-searches), then select the "search now"button at the bottom. I've never had a problem but yes you are limited to 1 database search every 20 seconds and it's part of the program.
