First off, I apologize if this has already been discussed, but I did a quick search and found nothing. (yes, didn't search for more than coule minutes)

Anyway, I was reading the 3 threads discussing the newkeys and key fobs for the RX-8 and got to thinking about the near future of when will have my own 8 and need to search for the key threads again. (not a biggie I know) but it spurred an idea in me. On a couple other boards I am on, they have the FAQ post stickied, for all to see. which you actually have a WHOLE forum which is cool, BUT, it might be nice to incorporate a psuedo "pointer stickie" (I dunno if thats what you'd call it, but thats what I am) and within the FAQ forum (which should be higher up in the list IMHO) have a small grouping of threads to help point newbies in their searches. just as a couple examples, you have a thread titled "RX-8 Key options" and within there have a small blurpit stating there are different keys and stuff, then have a pointer to one of the threads (the nice "similar threads" thing at the bottom helps continue their journey) and then another link to one of the programming keys thread, etc... Then another thread discussing winter driving with the 8, point to a couple threads, etc... etc.... basically, make a FAQ series of threads, or one thread consolodating many "common questions" everyone is seeing, with a small blurpit and a link to a couple helpful threads.

Again, just an idea to help the newer people that will be becoming owners find out about oil consumption and how to integrate an ipod.

I get the idea, and I think I like it, but someone would want to compile all this information and decide what information should go on it. Basically, a REAL FAQ made from questions people post on the forum (which people generally respond with "do a search we already covered this").

I'll let the other mods know.
