Mark your calendar, Register, and let's go have a blast driving Miata's around an Autocross track for hours. Last year was great! We arrived before opening and when they opened the doors, most of us made a b-line to the Miata's. I think I made about 8 runs but some others ran more than 10 times. You just get out of the car and go get back in line again and drive the wheels off of someone else’s cars. This is a ton of fun.
I have several things around this time of the month but I'm trying to work it out so I can go again this year. If I do go, I hope to see lots of you guys/gals there.
Sign up for early in the morning to beat the crowds.
Where: Atlanta Motor Speedway, Hampton GA
When: Sep 30 - Oct 1, 2006

IF YOU HAVE NOT HAD YOUR CLUTCH ASSEMBLEY WELDED YET, TAKE IT OFF AND HAVE SOMEONE WELD IT UP BEFORE IT SNAPS LOOSE. THE TWO FACTORY SPOT WELDS ARE NOT STRUCTURALLY SOUND AND ONE IS GOING TO POP AND THE METAL AROUND THE BOLT WILL TEAR.

I have signed up for both days, and in case he doesn't respond, 9G_Redline (Kevin) has signed up for both days, too. I'm debating getting a motel for the night, or leaving my car here, and borrowing my parents' truck and 5th wheel. (trailer sleeps 6 comfortably, anyone up for a saturday-night party/grill? lol

I will probably drive a MS6 once, a CX-7 once and spend the rest of the day with RX-8's and MX-5's. Wonder if the 8's have DSC... if so, guess what will be the first I do?

i talked the guy riding with me into allowing me to turn it off. The Rx-8 course sucked last year. Too short. the miata course was a blast though
Hey guys! I just bought a sunlight silver 8 and transferred over from Mazda3club.com. I believe some people will be comming from there also. Are there any other meets that are done on a regular basis or just ZZL.
Angels8, welcome to the club. You have joined a rather active group. If you stay up on what's going on in the SE Forum then you will be up to date with the high speed driving group for sure. I suggest you also join the GA RX-8 Club and keep up with us there as well. Some there do not participated in HPDE events but do others. Check out: http://garx8club.com and register, put pics of your new baby in our member's gallery and lets have some fun.
When the MS-3 Turbo comes out, that will be a fun car. Can't wait till next year to give it a run at Zoom Zoom.
I will definately be there with Nashirak both days, quite excited too. I may wear my white visor with a Blue flying M on the front, so be on the look out. Hope to see some of you there! Someone should take Nashirak up on his offer with the camper, it should be a great time.
WOO HOO.. I'm signed up for Sunday 8:15. If I go I may spend the night down at my sisters house in Griffin so I would have to meet up with everyone there.
