OK...

The last meet that we had planned was a total failure, so would anyone be interested in trying again? If so, lets get some suggestions for when and where and an idea of the # of peopole that will actually be in attendance.

I've been seeing a TON of 8s when I drive thru oakland (Ive seen a ti grey one w/ kit on more than one occassion driven by an early 20ish looking asian guy, and a shinka plus 2 or 3 red ones, and people I know have reported seeing a few WBs ...). So we need to make an attempt at least one more time...

 

I'm listening... I drive my VR from Beaver County down R65, and through downtown right quick to get down Second Ave, to where I work...(just past the 10th St. Bridge)

Pick a weekend, and I'll do my best!

 

I am pretty sure the shinka you see in oakland is mine, I am down there a lot. I do see a good number of 8s down that way. I will do my best as well.

Been seeing more 8's around S-Side as well so maybe they'll come in. Sorry I couldn't make the last one there was way too much going on. I will try to attend the next one.

Hey C-B-D I was just up in that Corning locale for the first time a couple of weeks ago...Good scenery and lots of good vino!!!

How does next weekend (7/15) sound to everyone? I'd say this weekend, but I figure we should probably give as much notice as possible...

Yeah, nothing you can do about it and those other meets are about 4 hours away from here.

On a side note (And flame me if you want because I deserve it for going), Is anyone going to Import Fusion in Pittsburgh on August 12th? Just Curious.

A few years ago, one of my best friends won 96.1's "freak my ride" contest and had his car customized by Team Nutz Technology (the bright orange CRX on their website...). The event seems to be pretty decent, but some of the cars are super horrid...

Apart from all else, it's always fun to go see some of the POS's that people like to show of...

 

Yeah, There are some TERRIBLE rides there, but it is still fun going. Glad to see im not the only one.

 

So Pittsburgh, do we have any interest in a meet at all or should we give up all together. The weather is great for a meet, hate to pass it up.

 

If I'm in town I would love to head down to the Import Fusion car show. I just took a new position within my company and will be travelling quite a lot, that's why I've been quiet. If you guys pick a meet date then I'll be able to let you know or not come August (when I get my schedule).

Anyone head down to the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix this weekend? Absolutely awesome. Can't wait for next year.

I'd suggest we hook up with the rx7 guys as I've heard their relatively active, but I'd hate to get that "red-headed-bastard-stepchild-at-the-dinner-table" feeling that I suspect I'd get...

But you are absolutely correct about the weather, so we have to do SOMETHING!!!

 

Not that this has anything to do with a meet, but have you guys noticed how messed up our roads are getting. I know they are bad, but it is getting out of control. I feel like I need an alignment on my car after only putting 8k on it. Any feelings?

 

I drive to beaver (from edgewood) everyday and I pretty much run the gauntlet... I agree with u on surface streets, but 376 and 279 are ok...

 

I cannot stand some parts of 376, some of them are really bad.

Yeah, some of the back roads have been butchered latley. A trip down Streets Run used to be like a lap at the old Hockenheim Ring now it's more like a Supermotard heat on four wheels. 79 S toward Bridgeville ain't too bad for a straight line run.

 

OK people, how bout we get together some night this weekend down at the strip district?

I was down there on saturday taking pics of my ride (my boy is a photographer, and some of those pics will be up later today...), and about 5 or 6 hondas from the Pittspeed.com forums came rollin up and parked FnF style (but it took them like 3 mins to get parked... non-parkin ****'s). Anyway, I thought it would be cool to have a mob of 8s down there...
