I am looking to buy an integration kit for my iPod Nano. After some research, I decided I like having the steering wheel control of the iPod, and definately like the ID3 Text on the OEM display.
I thought I was limited to DensionUSA.com for this, but after more research, discovered the following:
-Dension Ice<Link Plus ($160 on sale....$220 normal, but backordered???)
-DICE ipod Integration (listed on the Dension site at $160 on sale...$220 normal)
-Neo Ion ($220 on mp3yourcar.com)
-AudioLink ($140)
All in all, any of them better than the others? I heard a rumor somewhere that the Neo Ion is the same exact thing as the Dension (so would that mean the Neo is on sale too??).
I also heard of some problems with the IceLink Plus when you shut the car off and restart it...the iPod doesn't always play or something??
I apologize for piecing these rumors together from so many other threads, but hopefully someone can clarify and steer me in the right direction....I just want something that is going to work like it's supposed to!!

I dont think any of them show the text on the OEM display. I would do some searching around...there are many threads on what is available and a lot of information here. I have the AudioLink and it works great with the steering wheel controls.
The AuxMod Advanced is supposed to be out very soon, though there is a waitlist for it. It's the only one that will send text to the radio display screen (that I know of).
I know on the Dension website, they specifically say it will display the text....but do they mean that the Dension unit is capable of it, it's just not compatible with Mazda then?
hmm i just bought the dension myself... but i found out its a pain to take off the rx8's headunit... ended up snapping a clip -_-;; i'll write something about it as soon as i get this installed;;;
Anyone know how to intergrate the IPod if you also have a factory installed Sirius radio in the 2005 RX-8. My front buttons are: "FM/AM", "SAT", "CD", "TAPE/MD".
I am hoping to order one in time for an install this weekend....anybody know of any good deals right now and any last minute recommendations on which one is the best (quality, functionality, etc)?
Nevermind, ordered the AudioLink! Figure if they all have relatively the same features, and the Neo/Icelink is having some issues, might as well save $100!!!
I will add my review of it once it gets here (hopefully soon!)
Audiolink is the way ta go. I only had one problem with it so far, and i'm not sure if it has to do with the audiolink. My Ipod nano whent crazy once, kept skiping track and didn't have audio. After unpluging my ipod it would do the samething, it was pissing me off. I fix the problem by updateing my music library, but when I hooked it back up to my audiolink, nothing was playing. I moved the wire back and forth incase of a loose connection, plug and unpluging it in, finaly the stupid thing worked. I haven't had a one problem besides the one, and I still think the Audiolink is a great choice. Just make sure you don't plug that extra aux out jack into the ipod, it's used for chargeing stuff, not audio.
