This weekend I've been looking around different forums gathering info on the RL and upcoming GS and M45 for my mom. I never really noticed it before, but the way owners of each brand look at the other is kinda funny to me. Here are just a few examples:

"The fact that the M45 is just a glorified Nissan scares me." (this from a Lexus GS owner.)
"Acuras are just poorman's Lexus... seriously... if you had the money, wouldn't you just buy a Lexus???" and "Acuras are for those that can't afford a real luxury car." (This from an Infiniti owner, which also sounds like something a German luxury car owner would say about them.)
"Acura to 99% of the USA=nice Honda. Nothing wrong with that but they are not a major player." (Again from an Infiniti owner, who's obviously unaware Acura outsells Infiniti.)
"Well at least you will never mistake a Lexus for a Toyota." (tell that to IS owners whose cars are mistaken for Corollas.)
"Infiniti resale sucks. Who would spend $35k on a rwd Altima rebadged as a G35 when it'll be worth half what you paid this time next year?" (this from an Acura owner.)

And so on and so on. I guess it's just the nature of the game to bash competing makers, but some of these people's statements are just silly and hypocritical.
