clip probably had a different midpipe etc. Most of the parts for the 8 (I did say most) are going to be function over form so don't expect a lot of fart cannon noise unless you DIY your exhaust.

With most mods for the RX-8 giving little to no increase in power, most mods, especially exhaust are form over function.

I have that same exhaust and have no idea what you are talking about. If it sounds like stock to you then something is wrong with your hearing or you didn't get what you think you got. My Greddy SP2 is deep and very throaty all of the way through the revs.

PS- That is with the stock cat on it.

Rotaries are known for their peaceful nature. A bridgeported 13b shifting at 12000 sounds like a kitten purring. If I were to run open header, the track would shut me down. Besides, I prefer a deap throaty sound to the high pitched rasp anyday.

Thankfully your not my neighbor....hmm let me think how we can make our cars louder and spend a bunch of money for no performance gain...... as somebody stated something like this before: "Just drill holes in your Stock muffler and pocket the cash" Go G$ Go

If you want noise go buy a subwoofer.

Just an observation:

I've noticed that the deep and throaty sound of the Greddy depends on the temperature. On a cold day, for the first 5-10 minutes of driving or so - it'll sound relatively stock; but on a warm day, once again after 5-10 minutes, it will sound undeniably "Greddy."

I have the SP2 on my car and the first week or so it was not very loud. After about week of driving pretty hard it sounded perfect, it was that deep tone. you have to wait till the coating on the new exhaust is burned off, that was that smell coming from it when you first put it on. Believe me it will get loud and if it doesnt you got FAGBAGGED....
