i ordered the blue rx8 in the early days of january. At that time there wasn't any options like the cd changer, splash guards, etc. There was only the navigation to choose from. I thought the spoiler was a neccessity, so i called up my dealer and i got the spoiler put on as an accessory. Would that take me off the first allocated list now that i ordered a spoiler?..Oh yeah...Since I'm a new member..hello everyone

 

You can relax, adding the spoiler will not change your allocation status. The spoiler is a port acceessory - that is, it will be installed once it arrives at port, before being trucked to dealership.

 

yea i'm getting a few things installed at the port myself...i'm guessing then that it's gonna take a few days to install the stuff at the port before my dealer gets my car? how long do you guys think the Appearance Package and 6-Disc CD changer will take? also, the navigation system is installed at the factory and not the port right?

 

All of the options that are factory installed were listed for the first pre-orders. All the rest can be installed weither at the port if you add them to your order. I understand that there will be an additional list of options that will be coming out that will be either port or dealer instlled. I don't know exactly when the list will be out but I would expect it to be farily soon.

 

From what i heard from my dealer, it seems like there will be absolutely no delay for ordering port installed options because the cars have to go through some testing in the port so the cars would be staying in the port anyways. I also got a winning blue with spoiler ^_^

 

I also pre-order in early Feb and want some sort of spoiler on my car, however I havn't ordered one yet. So I have a couple of questions if anyone can answer them.

1) I was looking for good pics (on this forum) of the different types of spoilers (lip/mazdaspeed) and I couldn't find any good ones. Can someone put up a pic of the different spoiler types or supply a link to them.

2) How much money are the spoliers?

3) If I don't order my car with a spoiler can I addit on later (say in 3 months or so)? If I did that would it cost more?


Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

The only spoiler I want is the little lip spoiler that the Euro cars are getting standard; I want that too!
