Just out of curiosity

since the mpg issue has been brought up quite a bit...i was wondering how many liters of petrol does the 8's tank hold??

i don't have an 8 but it's definitely one of the cars that i would be considering. i drive an a4 1.8t and a bmw 323i. would u say that the mpg be close to that of an a4 1.8t?

also i've read that the mpg on the 8 gets better after some time..is that true?

Liters? Oh my god, I'm an American, don't ask me to use the metric system! 15.9 gallons.

@zevans
nope... i get my RX-8 on Thursday.. :-D I hate to wait.....
But i´m not going to use V-Power, because i heard very often, that it doesn´t increase anything. The recomended gas will do its job. :-D

You will get a lot less MPG than with a 1.8 turbo audi.

Think SUV, thats about how many MPG the RX-8 gets.

The mileage does get a little better, but not much. If low fuel economy is going to bother you, I wouldn't buy the car thinking it will get better cause it won't. I get around 18MPG driving 70% highway and 30% city.

For the mileage the Rx8 gets, I think the gas tank is a bit small. I could use a bit longer cruise range that's for sure.

I can assure you the 8 likes V-power and it's a very noticeable difference, especially mid-range punch!

I wouldn't put it in every fill-up but if you know you're going to have a good blast in the near future...

almost 16 gallons (60liters) is small??!?!? how much bigger do you want it to be and still fit into a 'small' car. I was expecting this thing to have an 11 gallon tank before i bought it.
