I played with a Wankel Today
Holy $hit I went to southbeach today and got too sit in, REV, and play with the gears. Ask me anything. I must have spent like 2 hours with it. I'm going tonight again
I have a ton of pics, but I do not know how to post them. Help

Sound? what sound? This engine is sooooo quiet. Granted it was parked the whole time. I reved it to about 5k and I heard a whine, thats it. You also will not feel any vibrations at all.

Maximus funny you ask. I was triing to look at the taillight really close when some guy reved the engine. It does have good sound but at higher RPM's. It was loud. sounded like a rotary with a piece of cloth over it's mouth. An aftermarket exhuast would make it sound meaner and deeper.
ok im back from southbeach again. I went to find the RX8 at night but they moved it. To answer the question about the guages. When the engine is on and the lights off they will be a cool blue color. The blue is very light. It is very pleaseing to the eye. When you flip the lights on it turns red, What I found out by playing with them is that you could switch back to blue by adjusting the dimmer dial to the left of the steering wheel. If you move the dial down it dims the red.If you move it up the red will get brighter. When you reached the top of the dial push up a little more and it clicks up once and they turn blue again.
You can have both blue and red at Night and just blue during the day. Very cooolll

Wow! Great shots.. Looks like a fun day you dog!
How comfy was it in the back. Me and my dogs are about the same height as you folks and he thought he wouldnt fit in the back. Although he didnt try. It didnt look like he would have fit is why. Plus the fact we didnt want to look like dweebs if we got his butt stuck in the back heheh

One thing I've noticed is that the rotor motif in the seat backs is only seen from the front on the leather seats (I know its a hole and you can see the hole from both sides but I'm talking about the actual metal looking part) and the cloth seats have the metal motif is on the front and back because of the lack of plastic.
Board Member luiml73 (Luis) was working the event, called him up and he told me where the car was at. So went to check the 8 out tonight. The trunk has a small opening.. It reminded me of a Eclipse Spider's trunk. The engine is really set low and back.. The pass thru to the trunk is absolutely unless your trying to hide something fast like an open container of alcohol. The gauges are amazing, probably the coolest I've seen. The shifter has a short throw. I reved it to about 5k and you could barley hear the engine. Maybe with some load it might be a little louder. The back seat is a full seat as described and not one of those little milk crates some other cars have.
Thanks luiml73 for cool gift.
