Greater Toronto Area - Dealers Recommendations

Just wanted to start a new thread for us to put all of our comments about the Mazda Dealers in the GTA area. Thanks.

Anyone got good recommendations or wanted to caution us on any particular dealerships ?

FYI:

Just went to the Dealership at McCowan and Hwy 7 this morning (NE Corner). They still have 1 more RX-8 there for pre-ordering. They are selling at retail price with the regular stuff on top of it.

GT Loaded without Nav.Package is $47,000 (everything included)

Something does not add up correctly here, a fully loaded GT with moonroof and NAV is $43,595.00 then add $1,400.00 for freight, PDI, administration ($175.00), air tax and gas tax which brings the car up to $44,995.00.

Once the PST and GST is added ($6,749.25) the total comes to $51,745.25 so I do not know how Smoker came up with the $47,000.00 everything included.

ZoomZoom, it depends on whether or not 47k is tax included. If you take $39 595, add $1400 for freight, PDI, etc, add taxes, you'll get (39595 + 1400) * 1.15 = $47 144.25. However, if 47k is the price BEFORE taxes, then I think Smoker should try looking elsewhere. Oh, and btw, 51 - 52 k is about what I paid too (fully loaded, moonroof and nav).

Smoker, as for dealerships, I can tell you this much. The dealership I ordered from, Dufferin Mazda, does not seem to be all that knowledgeable. Hence, it would not be my dealer of choice for service. I only went with them because it was one of the few places with preorders left that I could get too pretty easily by TTC.

Please read the post again carefully. It says WITHOUT Nav. Package. Thanks.

The price he gave me IS Tax included and yes, he did say it is around $47K everything included.

Don't worry about it. In fact I appreciate you taking the time and crunching the numbers just to be sure.

But looks like the GTA dealership here are just selling the 8 at around MSRP. That's good news for us for sure.

As to the thread topic, I have no problems recommending Westowne Mazda in Etobicoke. I have been taking my 1993 MX-3 there since I bought it and I have been very satisfied with their service, the car has always been ready on time and I have never had to take the car back to the dealership because the job was not done correctly the first time.

Both 73JPS and I have both ordered our 8's from Nauman (salesman). Nauman is a car fanatic and he has been very helpful during the entire process. I would highly recommend that you speak to Nauman if you are considering purchasing a car at Westowne Mazda.

That being said, I understand that Westowne has already presold their entire 2003 RX-8 allocation. If you are still interested give Nauman a call to see if the third RX-8 has somehow become available. I know that 73JPS and I are still waiting with baited breath.
