I stopped by my dealer today and got a copy of the inventory report (trying to figure out the email thing) - and they have a 2 - 3 RX-8s still not spoken for. As far as I know - they want only MSRP. Appears to me that they have a yellow on black and a red on black/red with the GT package still available if anyone wants to stake a claim to them. Possibly a silver / black touring pkg too, but not sure about that one...

as far as I know, they still have several available from the first few allocatoins.

 

Brown's in Alexandria has several unspoken for. My order didn't make the first allocation. They placed an order for one in the first allocation just like mine except it also has the way too expensive navigation option. A couple weeks ago, the order printout had that car estimated to start production in April week 2 and mine in May week 1. The latest list had all the RX-8s back to TBD.

I am hoping that this excerpt from the Mazda email to dealers means cars assigned to real buyers arrive before the ones the dealer added to get their full allocation.

 

I was at my local dealer today out of 14 cars in initial shippment only 3 are sold. PS he said they should get delivery in about 1 to 2 weeks. I will go with the Titanium and red/black leather with the full aero kit and all the other alum trim pieces
