Spare tires anyone?

Hello, I was wondering if any of you have a picture of the spare tire in the trunk so I can see what it looks like.

I just got a punctured tire, lucky I was at my freind's place if not I would be so dead.... stuck in the middle of the highway waiting for help... that definitely would suck.

So I decided that I want a spare tire and I was want to know what it looks like.. casue I heard it takes up the whole trunk in teh back....

Why would you be stuck? Even without a spare tire, every RX-8 has the tire sealant and compressor kit to seal and re-inflate a tire... unless your sidewall was torn or damaged, that kit would have had you back on the road in short order.

Regards,
Gordon

I made the dealer take off the spare tire on my 8. Didnt want the reduced trunk capacity as a result of the spare. It seriously reduces capacity to the point the trunk is not good for much other than groceries......Plus we have Roadside Assistance we can call. No worries IMHO

This type of thinking is great unless (1) you drive outside of major cities and (2) you don't like waiting.

On a good day, the wait for roadside assistance can be three hours or longer; if it happens to be a poor weather day (e.g. it's snowing out) it could literally be a day before they get to you...
