Bad Tire Wear; Can I get a freebie?
Bad Tire Wear; Can I get a freebie?
Just looked under my car and noticed that the drive tire (rear right) has been worn down to dangerous time to replace levels. More importantly, it has been worn down entirely on the inside portion of the tire. Looks like a bad alignment job.
I got these tires in February and put just 8k miles of spirited but not crazy driving on them (mostly commuting). These are just General Exlaims. Nothing special. Think I can get them to replace it for free?
Side note: The guy on the phone told me that they cant be alligned properly if the car has been lowered. I have after market coilovers that pulled it down a bit, but I can't imagine this would make the car unallignable....

Yea, that was my feeling too.
I know these cars go through tires fast, but 8k miles is pretty low for commuting and these are the same guys that did the alignment. I'd think they would cover me here for this. The warranty was a bit vague, so still not sure.
