Anyone know who makes this front bumper?
Is it a commercial replica of the ms, or a custom job.
I'm sure I've seen mazdaspeed bumpers with the same front strakes (across the grills) on other 8's, I just can't remember where.

 

I believe it is a Carbon Creation front bumper. Look in the calling all body kits thread.

That bumper looks amazing! Unfortunately, I'm guessing it's fitment is going to blow chunks considering its made by Extreme Dimensions or am I wrong? If the fitment is good this may very well be my first aesthetic mod when it comes time for me to go with a new look.

 

That is an ALL carbon fiber bumper. It also has bad fitment from what I hear. Still not the worst fitment...

 

Extreme Dimensions also makes the bumper in their "Duraflex" fiberglass material. They're marketing it as a hybrid fiberglass material similar to Shine Auto or ING's hybrid material, don't know whether to give it a shot or call B.S. on them.

Bumper has a appealing look 4sure but fitment on non OE accessories are always an issue

BTW Duraflex= **** .. Stay away from it

 

Why not just do a few autoX events or a couple tracking events and get the Carbon Fiber MS front bumper???

 

There's just something I love about that bumper. The legit MS bumper looks really nice but it's so common and slightly understated for my taste and this bumper hits the right spot but.. I guess I should go with some authentic bumpers...

 

OMG don't pay a dime for anything from extreme dimensions aka carbon creations aka whatever other flavor of the month company name they use to trick people into buying their products.

I would go authentic and then mod it to your taste before spending a dime with them, they're garbage, they're customer service is garbage, fitment is a joke as well (hence the name extreme dimensions). I would say they're easily one of the worst knock offs out there, but people who know no better can get "the look" for cheap from them so they stay in business. I have prsonal experience with 2 of their kits, one I purcahsed initially for mine not knowing any better, another a friend of mine got for his civic si. Honestly you would not believe how awful it was, it was straight up fiberglass, and it had more waves in it than the ocean, the gaps where the bumper was supposed to meet the fender on each side was so far off I could fit 2 fingers in it, back bumper was so off and wavy I could see behind it. I know there's a chance some kits come out bad or have a bad run sometimes, stuff happens, but I've seen this type of quality first hand 2 times, and in talking with people a dozen others.

Do yourself and your car a favor, please stay away from them.

my Rx8 also has that look..but i customize it...now im looking for a carbon fiber hood n lip

 

 

i bought one of extreme dimentions cf bumpers after hitting a deer. it wasnt even wide enough to fit the car and i took a while to get a refund. stay away from that crap
