"We had a quick second to upload 296 images from out day at Laguna Seca, and the Monterey area, with the RX-8. These images are raw, right off the card from the digital camera. We will have a full writeup and driving impressions of the RX-8 as soon as we absorb all we did today (full speed laps at MRLS, autocross, and an hour drive down California's Highway 1.) Know this however, this car has impressed two hard core rotorheads. This is a rotary sports car, while not a replacement for the raw FD3S RX-7, it is a refined, well tuned, predictable car, that it it's soul is a rotary. "

Well, that answers the question of that strange little button to the right of the console! And now we can see pictures of the blue too. And the shots of all the cars lined up...oh wow....

Thanks again Buger!

He sees the rear fog light (roto shaped) that is on the euro spec car. Please note that these cars do not appear to be u.s. spec only. This test drive must be for all countries. Note the japanese navi and the clear side marker lights in some of the other pictures.

Good point, and just as I had my hopes up.

I've seen enough pictures of the car, I want video or a review

Neat idea for the keys to have them color coded to the color of your car, that is if they actually do it for the production version. See link

Are some of the non US markets getting white. I think that is the best looking pic of the bunch and I normally hate white cars.

I appreciate RotaryNews for posting the pics so quickly. However, the colors in the outdoor pics looks dull or slightly washout. Is it me?

I think it might be the camera... It didn't bring out the colors too well. They look very saturated and over/underexposed shots on many of them. It looked like a cloudy day too so who knows?

Man.. i hope the RX-01 becomes something

Was looking at the picture. Thing looks like a sportscar I would drive.

Looks like a futuristic version of the rx7 almost. I just dig the front..

I wish i was this guy Clear in the background in the middle. Surrounded by rx8's.

Wonder if.....

The spoiler will be a option by the time it is produced? It looks good but not as wild as the "X" car. Also, will the "clear" side markers make it or can we add aftermarket? Clear is clearly nicer!

Seeing that display makes the keys look even more like something out of a Japanese sentai show--with different colored keys for each ranger. "ROTAR-CHANGER!" (I wonder if anyone gets that joke...)
