yeah it does suck I was sittin at a stop sign to turn left and the guy pulled up to turn right and just started backin right in to me like a dumb ***

Good thing is it seems like only the door/window was damaged. Not real body frame damage een but it seems unlikely. Good luck to you man but I think your car will have a full recovery.

 

Looks like all you need is a new door..Just get one from a parts car for less than 400 bucks..

 

well if it wasn't your fault, shouldn't the other guy being paying to have it fixed?

 

^The other guy's insurance should write him a check for however much the adjuster thinks it will cost to fix. It will probably be around a $1400 claim. So buy a door off a parts car for 400, and have 1000 to spend

 

after we talked to the cops i went to a body shop they already ordered the door its 650$ so yeah his insurance is payin for it

 

He backed into you? How did it cause that much damage? Am I missing something...or is it the oxicodone confusing me....??

 

I'm just confused why he was backing up while turning right? Or was he like getting out of his driveway?
Either way yeah no kidding if anything lucky! Only got the door and nothing else. Just make sure when you get the car back that the door opens exactly like the drivers side and the the gaps are even and all the bolts/fastners are on the fender and no new holes are made.

 

no he hit me and kept puhing like i was not there I started honking when I saw reverse lights but he just kept backin up

ok I was at a stop sign behind a truck turning left and the guy pulled to the side of the truck I was behind to turn right he pulled up so he could see if something was comming so he could turn there was a car coming so he backed up cause I guess he was out to far and backed in to me

I had the same experience well similar no where near as bad just a tag on my front bumper but enough to distort it sorry to hear that. Insurance...........?

 

Same thing happen to be in a parking lot but I was hit square in the center of the doors. It broke the locking mechanism and luckily no was in that seat. I don't know how they got the door off....If wouldnt open.

thanx guys for the support. And yeah both me and the guy that hit me have Insurance. I haven't even made the first payment yet. It sucks but the new door is ordered and on its way. I'll have it tuesday then paint and tint so I just have to drive it like this till thursday or so.

 

glad to hear all is okay...but seems like it could have been a good reason to go carbon fiber doors!!!!!
