Finally, I went to Freemand Mazda (in Irvine) to do my test drive, this last Saturday ... and they had in there showroom this beautiful yellow RX-8 done up with a great custom black and yellow leather interior resembiling the yellow pre-production show model!

Just thought I'd bring this up just in case someone wants to look at it or better yet get it for their own ...



After the drive the RX-8 still is the car for me, but sadly for me I'm not quite yet in the market to buy my RX-8 ... yet. Plus, I want the cloth seats.

I have had a quote to redo my seats for$ 3000 Dollars , but i realized i could spend money on other areas of the rx8.

How much did they tack on for the yellow inserts?

That color combo really caught my eye, just like everybody else. But trying to keep yellow clean would be a major pain in the ****..

 

To be honest, I didn't pay attention when I was there, since I plan on getting a black/black cloth RX-8 ...



... So I just called my salesman, George Johnson, and asked him what it cost, plus if they had someone with a digital camera over there that could take some pictures for me to post for you ... I should know in about a couple of hours about the pictures.

George mentioned that for their additional custom leather (that's listed on the window sticker) is $1,100 and that "covers" the 2 tone seats and doors but not the steering wheel ...
