Lets talk about how "production" of the RX-8 is to begin in mid February 2003. If this is the case, are the cars we will see in Detroit and LA built on the "production" line? or are the hand built?

What are the steps to "production" release of a car in mid-February. Do you build some cars on the line and use them to stream line and shake out any bugs in the production line and use them to show off the new car?

Do you build some cars on the "production" line then test them for some period of time to make sure all is high quality? Would I really NOT want the first car they build on the production line?
