Hey I'm trying to find black rims to fit on my black 8 but i can't seem to decide which ones to get. Could anyone with black on black 8's post: pics, what kind of rims they are, what size they are, and whether they lowered their 8 or not.
Offtopic question: should i lower an 8 with the mazdaspeed body kit? or leave it as is? also, if i didn't lower it, would i need 19s or 20s to fill the wheel wells with low profile tires?

there was only a 30 minute difference between your posts, do you really think someone will answer your "question" that fast? BTW, you are in the wrong division. You should be in the Aftermarket wheels division AND your questions are already answered if you would actually SEARCH! SEARCH on this forum can be done by pressing the so called "Search" button at the top.

offtopic answer: you should definitely lower it some, but be sure to get the right spring rates if you don't want to afffect the ride quality drastically.
19" or 20" wouldn't really matter since your overall diameter will still be in the same general diameter of your stockers, unless you go with bigger tires which will throw your oddometer off and possibly make your gas mileage worst than what it is right now.
even though it is the wrong place here is a pic of a black 8 with black rims. I actually put aircraft paint remover on the stock ones, then primed the bare metal rims, and painted them with black rim paint. I was doing it as a quick way to see what powder coated rims would look like before spending the money to get it done, but they never got around to getting them done, that was over a year ago.

Here's a pic of my ride. I have no problem with bottoming out or having any clearance issues with the MS kit and MS suspension. I have the camber set at -1.5 in the front and -2.0 in the rear. I have no rubbing issues either. I originally had my camber at -0.5 front and -1.8 rear.....but went more aggressive on the front for autocross. I had no issues with rubbing with the first alignment.
Definately lower the car. I bought my MS kit first, then wheels...and then it was obvious that I HAD to lower the car. It just didn't look right to have 75% of the car aggressive, without the stance to match.
Here's a friends 8. These are 17's (yup, 17's). I beleive they are the 5Zigen F10rc wheels in black with machined lip. He has Vaughtland springs and stock appearance package.
.... i f0cking like the look of the axis hiros on any color 8's.... hmmm what do you think about the R-1 gtr-6 rims ...planning on getting it this week or next week...
dam lol all these pics are sexy
kwescott: those GT7s are nice! thanks i was wondering with the ms kit if lowering the car would have clearance issues. btw how much is yours lowered? looks nice
EDIT: whats the lip on those rims btw?
