Thumbs up Out of the garage

The snow is gone, a couple of good rains and the salt is washed away. What a sweet machine. She fired up instantly for the first time since last Nov( had a battery tender on it).
I really like reading and leaning stuff here but driving the 8 what it's all about.
Clicked off about 100 miles and just kept say "wow". I think the driver of an RX 8 becomes "one with the car" more than any other (non flying) 4 wheel vehicle. At last count I've bought 43 brand new cars so I have a good sampling and this one is a keeper.

I swapped out the gear box and diff with R P and it does seem smoother than before.

Anyway just had share my enjoyment with the only ones who could understand the feeling. Definite Zoom-Zoom

I've had mine back on the road for about 3 weeks now. It was certainly a long 4 months while it was parked. At least it was a short winter for me this year.

Refreshingly uplifting post, Gray06. Tell us more about the sportscars you've owned; surely out of the 43 there's got to be at least half a dozen true performers in the mix.

I had a '87 5 door turbo hatchback. Can you say torque steer? Yours had the 2.2 instead of the previous gen's 2.0 so no doubt you had your hands full WOT'ing off the line.

always an awesome feeling to get a summer driver back out! never put mine away, but feel the same way every time I pull it out of the garage.

I have a 97 Cobra convertible in show condition that I store, so I defintely know the feeling of that first drive of the season.

In all honesty though, i'd truly HATE to have to store this car...i'm too used to seeing it daily

AZ rocks. Drive the 8 everyday. On summer tires.

Sure sucks when it gets over 120 degrees out

Great weather in Nor Cal since I bought it. Put the car seat in the back and love looking at the faces of the other dads when I pick my son up from preschool.

I climb into the 8 after buckling the lad into the back, they hop up into their mini vans and suvs... god i love this car!
