HI guys! Well its official.....but just getting off the ground too. Our first meeting of the New RX8 club in N. AL will be Saturday January 27th @ noon. The title will be offically declared there, and letters of incorporation are supposed to be provided for our look-see. All that want to attend are welcome. Officers possibly chosen or volunteers are welcome too. There are parts discounts to be had by club members once we get it all done, possible goodies to be had from Mazda.(they can write them off remember).....and we will be figuring out fundraisers and all kinds of things to keep the club going, and most importantly...we get to know other people that have the same love of this car that we each have, and make new friends.

If you are coming from 565E or W, take Mem Pkwy South to the Airport Rd exit, and do a "U" turn under overpass, coming back north on the access road. Gibsons is NORTH OF and right next door to Grace Lutheran Church., on your right. Grace has a huge steeple easily seen from the pkwy.
Coming north on the pkwy from Arab, Morgan County vacinity. Come north up the parkway and get off again at the Airport Rd overpass, and get in the right hand forward lane. Cross Airport Rd and Gibson's may be 1/8-1/4 miles on your right.
Coming from Marshall county Guntersville vacinity. Come north on 431 to Hampton Cove, and take a left at the Walmart shopping center. That is Sutton rd. Follow Sutton Rd over the Mountain, into Huntsville, and take a right onto Carl T Jones. Follow Carl T Jones through the valley and up over another small hill where it becomes Airport Rd. Follow Airport Rd to the pkwy. You'll be able to see an elevated overpass from the top of the hill at a distance. Get into the right hand lane early as the traffic is usually congested, and take the turn right past Taco Bell onto the access road, pass GOO GOO"S war wash and Gibson's is half a block on your right.
These of course are general directions, so those of you that know short cuts.....but I thought major roads would be best.
I hope to meet a lot of people there..and can you imagine the look on peoples faces when they see so many of the same car in one place! Mine is Copper Red, for those that dont know My LP says RDDRAGN..so you'll know you are in the right place.

so it looks like 2 coppers, 1 titanium grey(with blue flame), 1 phantom blue... what else we got gonna be there? i'm gonna try to borrow my dad's really nice digital SLR to take some pics... so come clean!
There will be 2 other titanium grays I believe, I cant tell the different between that and galaxy gray, and at least 1 VRred if not 2, I believe, I'm not sure who the other owners are. Speedweasal knows more owners than I do, and I think the others are contacts of his. I wish I knew how to get a hold of a guy that owns a black one. His is only a weekender, but its supposed to be pretty...If we could only find a Whitewater Pearl and a Screamin Yellow owner! I'm going to look through my original thread I left when I first joined and see if I can get any responses from those guys.
I would like to be a part but Saturdays are impossible duirng the day for me - I coach basketball and baseball (games on Saturdays) and then on the off season I show my antique cars at car shows.
I think we will set the normal meeting day/time at 6-6:30 on the first Thursday of the month. That corresponds to the Miata Club and if we ever want to join forces to do something, we don't have change schedules.
