hey guys ima new owner of my RX8. i have had the car for about 2 months now. im from San Diego CA. i used to be big into VW's mostly corrados im used to the forum stuff(www.vwvortex.com) and the gatherings. i was wondering what mods i can do that cheap to increase HP or make the 8 look more custom, also some sites that have good info on them. all the sites i have found have just been janky 3rd party sites selling the original parts and junk for a marked up price.

Welcome!! I am from Texas, but I visit SD quite abit. Before the "search" police start slammin' on you, let me tell you, if you are looking for real horsepower gains... you are going to have go FI. Exhausts and intakes and so forth are good for a few horses here and there, but nothing brag about.
As for looks.... it's all gonna be what you're into. There are some good lookin' 8's here, and there are some sleepers also.

Welcome. There are plenty of small mods (clear corners, strakes, accents, etc.) but some depend on what options you already have. Sport package, GT?

 

FI = Forced Induction (i.e. turbo)

FI = Super Charger

See the media section as they said, lots of body mods to be done.

Cheaper mods you may already have.
Rotary accents front and rear
Clear Corners white instead of yellow side lights(must have item
Chrome colored signal lights to eliminate any yellow on the car
Rotary Rim center hubs
New Shoes, Tires
Strakes
