Are they really only gunna give me $400 for the front bumper, seems a little low...
Speaking of front ends, Im looking at replica MS front ends, is it really worth the extra $900 for the real MS bumper if I can get a urethan rep. for $350?
i wrecked my 8 about 2 months age and they gave me the crash book price for the bumper, which is dealer list, and it was just a hair over $400 (without paint which would give you another few $$.) i had the aero lip also and they gave me about $950 for the lip and bumper. which was enough to cover the cost of an entire replica mazdaspeed kit. i did all the fitting myself and saved a ton of money, but it was a LOT of work. especially the front bumper and skirts. i am satisfied with the front and rear now but i wish the skirts fit a little better. also, i have a hookup on body work so that also helped a lot. if you cant get a deal cut, you will have a hard time coming out of this without having to spend some of your own money. i did not have to replace my hood so i dont know how much youll get for that, hopefully you can get the cf hood for less than a stock one..you would also save labor and paint on a cf hood since it requires nothing. also, if you need to replace a headlight, i got 2 off ebay (one of mine was damaged in the wreck and i just replaced the other because it looked crappy). believe me, if you research what you are buying, you can get some great deals off ebay. i replaced both my headlights for under $250 shipped, and i have xenons. good luck!!
