Which M3 are you talking about? There is a Mark in a red one in advanced with me and David (i think that's his name) was in intermediate i believe. I guess i did run intermediate once since i missed my session. I didn't really have to keep a close eye on my rear view which was nice. If i got passed it was by the uber fast cars Arial, Ultima etc. Most of the normal street cars were spaced out pretty good and all really consistent lap times. It made traffic almost non-existent.

You should come out again on a not so hectic day. We were running around constantly. Dual driving is hard work!

 

Thats why a mere gurl drives this car while I relax and drink soda pop.

 

It was hard work. We need to figure out how to adjust your seat faster of you're ever gonna donor again. That's really the only reason to pit every time assuming you have fuel, oil, brakes, oil caps, and no off road adventures.

You should post the pics of the car cleaned up now. I bet Alice and Galen won't believe how much better it looks with some tlc.

And Alice, I'll def let you know how the car tracks if my plans for late September come together.

 

the black m3 2 door was the one i was talking about and i wanna see pics of the car cleaned up, carnage looked pretty bad. so what exactly happened i was just pulling in when they were cleaning the track cause of the oil? Is anyone going oct 22?

 

Basically what happened was Mark (red M3), myself and Jeff (black NSX) were were all caught up behind a slow as **** miata going through the back section of the track. Right through the middle of turn 6 it started blowing smoke. So we all passed it in a hurry. The very next lap we were all still in the same order but we were going ***** to the wall fast. I was tracking out of turn 5 and right before i straightened up my line to brake for 6 my car just continued to track off on the same path. As soon as my right wheels dipped into the dirt i looked up and saw Mark sideways in front of me. I started out heading straight for the wall but managed to get the tail around to hit the wall parallel rather than hit it nose first. Jeff almost lost it too and (according to him) probably would have plowed into me if he had lost it. A mustang got squirrelly through there shortly after followed by another miata that lost it and started heading straight for me. Luckily, regardless of speed, all miatas stop in less than 30 ft

Moral of the story. Don't be a clot and forget to tighten your oil drain plug. Word has it he was down at the shop looking for an oil drain plug to replace his because it was out on the track somewhere. If you ask me that's grounds for immediate dismissal but he continued to run the rest of the day, hopefully with a guilty conscious. I made sure to pass him to show him my scraped up side and lack of a rear bumper.

I think i'm going to go Oct 22nd but not run. I think i'm done for the season. It's been a doozy.

well im glad u didnt destroy ur car its a sweet car, were those ur advans sitting next to ur car bay? if so those are awesome im going to take the drivers class and maybe get to run on the 22nd

galen is barb running novice class im going to try to get my drivers ed class done, so i can compete in oct. who all is going on the 25th of this month?

 

Barb usually runs intermediate because her car is slower than most of the advanced, but Connie has moved her up if there is more room in advanced. She doesn't mind that at all, the corvettes pass her and leaves her an open track to run on.
Yes we're down for Sept 25th, just got a new set of tires put on the car and Barbs ready to rock. And btw, ye can call me Travis.

After ya posted those 1:33 times Chris, Barb made me go back and look at some vids of her chasing a black mustang around the track she was bound and determined to pass.
Well I did and she was running steady 1:37 times. Holy Smokes I musta been napping in the shade while yall were out racking up some great runs.

 

You guys have an awesome local track.. Is it bad that I miss it already?

Hopefully I'll be satisfied with our local Pacific Raceways on the 21st.
