2004 rx8 security sysem malfunction????

2004 rx8 security sysem malfunction????
driving my rx8 and it turned off. was goin bout 40mph tried to jump my car several times, nothing. when i turn the key over it doesnt even click, or try to start. noticed that my security key light flashing rapidly for about a minute after turning the key, then slows down a little bit for another minute, before flashing at normal intervals. just wondering if this is a security malfunction?

The RFID does not need a battery you have some other problem. Inspect your connections and grounding. This is the new 2009+ forum btw. Might go to Series I troubleshooting and repost - search there. Good luck.

I doubt it, because my keyless entry flashes when its inside my car.

2004 have RFID inside a hole in the key behind the logo. It does not need a keyless entry. But it does need to read the rfid.

Your car has a diff key. The 2 are integrated.
