it is only LE buyers get those car (for the history of the game) not to say you couldnt copy it and sell it.
I don't think you can copy it/alter design/auction these cars or anything. I tried to auction the Audi and it wouldn't let me. All you can do is sell it back to the game for cash.
I haven't tried but can you auction/gift cars like the ZR-1 and Gallardo Superleggera from the LE to non LE players? Or are those people just SOL if they want one or all of those cars?
Turn 10 should just release the game with all car models for everybody and leave paint/vinyl/design specials as exclusives for those that care about stuff like that.
Why did they pick the Mazda RX-7 Spirit R Type-A to make a "unicorn" or what ever. This car is now pretty much unobtainable. Read where it sold for like 11 million or something in the auction. This is ignorant. The car is special but not that special and you could easily buy it in Forza 2. Oh well, at least the regular FD is still available (ugly body kits included).
Another gripe is the cost of cars like the '57 Testarossa. I think it cost like 20 million or something. This may be true to life but I don't think I would come up with 20 million before I would get bored. I like using/upgrading these vintage cars to race in career but that price is ridiculous.

Not sure what I will do for R2, if anyone has any tips let me know.
Haven't used the Veyron for anything other than ramming it head first into the wall at 185 to test the "damage" model, which I have to say I think is pretty crappy.
Medium AI is really too easy and Hard is doable but way too far from Medium. There should be one more level in between. To get around this I will use a car with a PI lower than the AI's. I really like the fight that the AI will put up though. I've had some white-knuckle battles in which, for a moment, I forgot I was racing a bot.
I have like 1 more race in the R3 championship. The Ferrari #62 Risi Competizione F430GT is an excellent R3 car with no mods needed to easily win the R3 championship. If possible I will probably try to upgrade it to an R2 for that series of races. I love the way this car feels and drives. The steering is razor sharp. The ACR is very good too with just some slicks and a few more ponies to move it up into R3 class. Even with just RWD it has ridiculous grip. I dropped the Nascar engine into mine, lol. The Veyron may be fast, but to me it is no fun to drive in the game (haven't wasted anytime tuning it so I'm sure it could be improved). Understeer is ridiculous and it is still way too heavy. Right now my Porsche Cayenne Turbo will make it look silly, lol.
BTW, I'm working on getting my entire Mazda race fleet up to snuff...
This game is too much fun.

VIP members will continue to receive gift cars throughout the game experience....with paint and tune coming from community members, not Turn10....so you'll be getting paint and tunes from "some" of the hottest in each respective category.
The gift cars can not be sent to anyone else, or sold on AH or storefront....only back to the game for whatever price it offers. This may be worth it once garages get full, or if the car doesn't fit your driving style. Given that the tune and paint are locked, if the tune doesn't work, or the paint isn't appealing, than it is of no value for your garage.
There may be a way of taking the tune and paint off, and then just having a stock version of the car which you can then do your own thing to. I know I have bought a design off the storefront, and when I go to Paint it, it will say that I will have to take the current design off. I would assume the same would be true of a locked tune...go to tune and be able to pull the tune off. NOt sure if the parts will still be there and if you could sell those back to the game before selling back the car.
For those who did the photo of their pre-order receipt, those gifts have been sent as well...and to be honest, I'm not sick of receiving an AUDI R8 as a gift car...I now have three gift R8s.

I have been racing against hard AI since putting the game in...and am now using manual/clutch in 80% of my races in classes below the R3 level.
It is so much fun, but am finding that my hand starts cramping and I have to do some races without the clutch just to give my hand a rest.....and when that doesn't work, I'll go in the paint booth or go search through storefront content.

#69 car looks great - will have to pick that up when I get a chance.

This sounds good. Will give us something to look forward too. I'm not big on the artistic/one-off designs but do love the race liveries or replica/retro paint designs for the various cars. I like being able to simply buy these as I don't have the patience or talent to do it myself.

I'm not into the fantasy paints either, but do see the work involved in them and some of it is truely a great example of artistic talent. Copying a car, making a replica, is more about time than talent to be honest. I'm currently working on a replica IROQ race car, and one of the sponsors is Crown Royal...that logo easily spent me about 4-5 hours. Patience is key.
There is still some gratification in making a good replica, but now with the storefront cap at 10,000 credits, it is less lucritive. It makes me question the value in doing it, beyond just personal satisfaction at this point.

Well I thought I was gonna have to pt Forza on hold since I bought CODMW 2, but I stayed up all night and beat the campaign lol. Only took 5 1/2 hours. Totally worth it! The game is SICK!
I'm trying to make a decision on whether i want to get MW2 now or not.....with Wednesday being a holiday, I'm trying to figure out how I'll spend my day of gaming....
I think going through campaign mode would be good, and then back to Forza 3.

Yeah, I went ahead and picked up MW2 to give me a little break from Forza. I'll at least run through the some of the campaign before I'll want to race again. So far MW2 is pretty baddass. Nice selection of guns.
Hyundai Genesis Coupe takes digital form in Forza Motorsport 3
Rhys Millen Racing Red Bull, HKS and FM3 Genesis Coupes as DLC November 17th!
Turn 10 Staff, 11.3.2009
FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Nov. 2, 2009 – Few enthusiasts will ever get the chance to drive the 300-horsepower Genesis Coupe on a racetrack, but thanks to “Forza Motorsport 3,” millions of gamers worldwide will get to experience the thrill in the digital world.
Racing game enthusiasts will be able to test their driving skills in the Genesis Coupe in “Forza Motorsport 3,” launched in the U.S. on Oct. 27, exclusively on Xbox 360.
“Genesis Coupe’s participation in ‘Forza Motorsport 3’ will raise Hyundai’s awareness with driving enthusiasts and the very important youth segment,” said Joel Ewanick, vice president, Marketing, Hyundai Motor America. “The mission for Genesis Coupe was to create a pure performance car and for it to appear in such a realistic racing simulator is awesome.”
Developed by Turn 10 Studios, “Forza Motorsport 3” unites the racing game genre where players will live out their dreams behind the wheel of more than 400 of the most-beloved cars, including a roster of Hyundai favorites. The vehicles can be driven on more than 100 renowned real-world tracks and exotic road courses from around the globe. Breathtaking HD graphics and the most advanced vehicle performance modeling in a video game make “Forza Motorsport 3” the most realistic racing experience ever. Introducing a host of driving assists and adjustable skill levels, “Forza Motorsport 3” is a gripping pick-up-and-play experience for racing novices and seasoned pros alike.
Further fueling the imaginations of its evergreen community of painters, tuners and photographers, “Forza Motorsport 3” features improved customization tools and brand new ways to share creations with the world via Xbox LIVE. Painters and tuners will be able to showcase complete artistic creativity through the celebrated Livery Editor, customize cars with the deep tuning garage, and share their designs in the “Forza Motorsport 3” Auction House and Storefront. To celebrate the flourishing “Forza” community, Hyundai will be gifting a free downloadable vehicle package on Xbox LIVE on Nov. 17, 2009. The package will include the Rhys Millen Racing Red Bull Hyundai Genesis Coupe, HKS Genesis Coupe and a one of a kind Genesis Coupe. The Hyundai Genesis Coupe will also boast its own race series within the Career mode of the game. Hyundai is also developing an online photo and video upload contest for “Forza” gamers who can show off their best in-game photo and video of the Genesis Coupe in action.
YOUTH INFLUENCE
•With the help of growing economies, young people (ages 25 and younger) the world over are embracing consumerism for themselves and influencing the tastes and purchases of others.
•Teens in the U.S. have spending power in excess of $172 billion per year and influence $565 billion of their parents spending.
•The Millennial generation will make up 28 percent of the U.S. driving population by 2010.
•Racing video games primarily appeal to males 18 – 30.
•Males 18 – 30 spend more time playing video games than they are watching television.
HYUNDAI AND AND MICROSOFT
Hyundai’s relationship with Microsoft developed out of a lust for high performance automobiles. The Microsoft team met with Hyundai staff at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas in November of 2008 to discuss possibilities around the upcoming 2010 Genesis Coupe.
Turn 10 Studios, a Redmond, Washington-based racing video game developer created internally by Microsoft Game Studios, embarked on the meticulous process of scanning Genesis Coupes with high level detail and consulted Hyundai’s premier drift racer Rhys Millen to provide real-world feedback on the gameplay and vehicle renders for accuracy.
“It is exciting to have your own car in a video game. I was very impressed with the realism of the game with things like hood pins and exhaust outlets showing up in precise detail,” says Rhys Millen, driver of the Red Bull Hyundai Genesis Coupe race car and founder of Rhys Millen Racing. “The Turn 10 game developers were very accurate in portraying the driving experience as well. For example, changing tires alters the handling of the car just like in the real world.”
To perfect the look and driving feel of the Genesis Coupe in the game, Turn 10 developers spent many hours scanning every inch of the Genesis Coupes. The attention to detail even resulted in a perfectly captured Genesis Coupe exhaust note. Extending this unique partnership even further, “Forza Motorsport 3” will also feature in-game advertising of Genesis Coupe on billboards, building exteriors and JumboTrons, made specially for the game.
Fans will be given the opportunity to test drive the most realistic experience ever as “Forza Motorsport 3” makes a public appearance at the Hyundai stand at the SEMA Show from Nov. 3 – 6, 2009 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Anyone ever try the Fanatec Posche 911 Turbo S wheel? I'm thinking about picking it up. From reviews, seems even a little better than the Logitech wheels and it compatible with PS3, XBOX and PC. Only thing that worries me is the spotty quality control. Comments?
well i did own it for 4months, before i got my G25. unless the the same wheel has'nt changed within the last 2 years, then i would stay away from it. its very cheaply made, mine broke only with 4 months usage.
Not sure how much they cost now, but at the time when i got mine, they where like 100 dollars cheaper, then the G25. so i got what you pad for. best to pay more for quality .
but unless they made improvements to the wheel, i would say get it. but i wasnt happy with mine, like i said felt very cheaply made.

I think this wheel just came out of a little while ago. It's $350 and you can only order it from Fanatec's website. The reviews are all pretty slick, but some forums complain about quality control issues. I'm on the fence. It's a lot of money for a game wheel.

Actually the wheel i had was the 911 turbo, and the turbo S is the one that costed 350.
i forgot they had a s version. either way, the S version came out back in 07 (350). which is the review you can read below. newer version. either way, the wheel felt cheap (t he 911 turbo that is). and mine broke in 4 months of usage. but ifs the only wheel for hte 360 with clutch, then i say you should get it. Fanatec Porsche 911 Racing Wheel
For PC and PlayStation 3.
by Gerry Block
October 2, 2007 - A while back we looked at Fanatec's Headshot mouse (review), a rather interesting gaming mouse with lots of integrated lighting and interesting features. Today the company announced its next major product, the Porsche 911 Turbo S Racing Wheel for the PC and PlayStation 3.
We've seen other manufacturers bust out racing wheels that are supposedly licensed from major super car manufacturers, but Fanatech looks to have put them all to shame in the accuracy and detail department. Fanatech's 911 Turbo S wheel isn't stock hardware with a Porsche logo stamped on, rather, it was truly modeled upon the real thing.
Fanatech's wheel will work with the PC and PlayStation 3, and will be sold only in Porsche dealerships and Fanatech's online store. The $350 wheel is currently available for preorder, which secures purchasers the special Nordschleife Edition, which includes a 1-GB USB memory stick styled like a Porsche car key.
Though it's certainly rocking a premium price, Fanatech's Porsche wheel does boast some nice features. It's finished in hand stitched leather with a metal Porsche logo inlaid in the center. A table clamp will be provided for PC use, while attachable lap-wings will make for comfortable couch play. Fanatech promises zero mechanical dead zone.
The 911 wheel will sport wireless connectivity on both the PC and PS3 via a USB dongle and three force feedback motors (one for real force feedback, the other two for vibration rumble). The pedals will also be wireless, and are likewise accurately modeled upon those found in a real Porsche. A clutch pedal is built in for the most realistic play when used in conjunction with either of the wheel's two included gear sticks (a 6+1 manual or a Tiptronic style sequential).
The Fanatec Porsche 911 Turbo S wheel will officially become available on December
