Mazda showcases two 2010 Mazda3-based cars at the 2009 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas. They are built on the Mazda3 2.5-litre and the MazdaSpeed3, both of which offer good basis for tuning purposes.
The team painted the cars in a Crystal White Pearl base coat with soft grey tone graphics to mimic the Mazda3 World Challenge race car while the front grille inserts, side mirrors, fog lamp bezels and the roof panel went black. The windows are also tinted and the red taillight lenses darkened. Wheels and tyres used are 19x8-inch rims with 225/40-19 Bridgestone Potenza RE050A respectively.
The sedan got a boost of power through a turbo unit and now pushes out 184kW (250hp). Its suspension system was upgraded to KW Suspension double-adjustable coil-overs and a Tri-Point adjustable rear stabiliser bar.
The MazdaSpeed3 only gained 15kW (20hp) on the standard issue car but was also fitted with KW coil-overs, four-piston Stoptech calipers and modified top mounts on the front struts amongst others.

the sedan is turbocharged? that's sweet! i love these cars, and they look awesome in those rims. when i need a car w/ room for kids, it's gonna be the ms3

I wish they're remove the retarded plastic supports in front of the grille that completely destroy what a good image they'd portray with the grille left alone as it is. Have to say the hatchback design is the first one I've seen yet that gets my favor. I never liked the looks of them but that one is pretty sharp.

It would be awesome if the 3rd gen got the turbo 2.5, Revo-Knuckle, and the sedan option. Talk about a beast!

It'd be nice to have that color in the MS3. Not a lot of color choice and that electric blue they have is ugly.
It is too bad there is not a GT package for the MS3. It really needs a sunroof, HIDs, heated seats and maybe a cloth/leather or suede upholstery. The last gen had HIDs...
