i was just about to hit reply and say the car looks like a saturn, but looks like you guys beat me to the punch.

it looks tacky and cheap. but maybe it would have looked cool if saturns didn't look like it.

 

I think all these retro cars are companies marketing to aging baby boomers getting thier last hurrah before the geriatric stage sets in and they cant handle thier tourqe anymore.

But I like the big3s ponies I will admit, might as well live a little before the sharting starts.

 

I wonder if saturn copied this concept?

 

Saturn had some stylish cars back in 91. Up to 96 they looked ok, but 97 took some of the styling ques and ran it with a twist, everything was rounder and the 1.9L in the SC2 was pretty peppy! EVERYTHING is plastic on them, kinda good and bad.


Reminds me how the (00-05) Chevy Impala is to the 4th gen (95-98) Nissan Skyline. Not a duplicate but man they look close enough. "SWEET a Skyline, oh wait it's another run of the mill Impala."

If something's trendy, remember to re-introduce it later for the nostalgia factor.

 

The Renesis was a special case because although Mazda started working on it in the mid 90's, it was shelved for a number of years after Ford took a controlling interest.

 

Theres actually a perfect set of R3 wheels on ebay as we speak... Ive been huntin for these for a while and this is the first set Ive found for sale

4200 for r3 rims, you get get some slammin volks for that price.
