First impression was 'Mr. Garlic-Muscle' came off as being a real prik, but the more and more I read about the GTO owner, seems like he got what he deserved... Maybe a bit too far.

Yeah, making up numbers is pretty retarded. Why make yourself look more glorified than you really are?
Then again, was that talk making Mr. Muscles feel less masculine or something? Let the kid play off his awesomeness and ignore him. No need to harass him to race to 'prove' something.

That video will last forever too. What a waste of oxygen. Yeah the muscle head was a dip shit as well, baggin' on a teenage girl. In high school I had a 82' 280ZX Turbo and I ran into to a lot of shit talkin' 5.slow owners as well. Most of them were disappointed to get beat by a Datsun with an exhaust and a manual boost controller . But that guys 5.0 sounded pretty mean I wouldn't wanna run him.
i read somewhere that its a fox body with a procharger kit. pretty sure its capable of doing wheelies. not really my thing.
its hard to take tuns with your front 2 tires in the air.
He added an adapter kit, so it sprouts out wings when he is on two wheels. That way, they can help turn the car. it's like watching a circus!

I agree with Socket. Zero payoff. The meathead should have offered to race the kid, the kid backs out, and then let it go. Harassing the kid and taking digs at his girlfriend just makes the muscle head look like an idiot too.

Yep. From what I saw in the video, that engine is a stock LS1, and now we're getting reports of people who know him on the GTO forum.
I hope this guy sells his GTO, and get out of the racing scene. He's going to have to endure a lot of hardships if he doesn't. He's got enough problems already. 21 years old, but has a lot of growing to do.

If he's 21, why is he wearing a Hollister shirt? I thought they didn't let you in there after the age of 17?
Either way, this video is just really pathetic in a lot of ways. I didn't see it all in detail, but it looked like the other guy was in a mustang, right? This is one reason that I try to avoid a lot of the whole "scene" in general, but like this site. It's not just a bunch of idiots spouting off about how great their car is, for the most part it's just people that appreciate the RX8.

Thats because we are all comfortable with the fact that we have only two hampsters running our car. (Working on a graphic right now lol)
As for the GTO thing. Yeah a bit much. Using muscle size to make someone uncomfortable is just as bad as the fake numbers.
And when they showed the headlight bit....was that a salvage sticker?

I don't know, I'm kinda on the fence about this one...
Sure the TA driver was an ass but for the amount of BS the GTO driver was spreading around he almost deserved it. 725whp? 115 in the 1/8th mile? Won't race for less than $1000?? Please!!
The GTO driver just made it worse on himself as he kept spouting the lies even in person. Had he simply given in to the TA driver, admitted he had a stock GTO and lied about his numbers the whole situation would have been over immediatly.
However, some people are not secure enough with their manhood to do such things. I think one of the reasons I love the RX8 so much is because I'm constantly underestimated.
I had an old friend of mine who used to collaborate with another person and poke fun at my RX8 all the time. Once I started challanging him to show up to an autocross event and show his skills the situation changed.
Sounds like the GTO driver had it coming and he made a complete fool of himself.
So, apparently I have no life because I actually went back tonight and watched the video in its entirety to see if I missed anything. Essentially, I can't feel bad for the GTO kid because he brought it on himself. Just about everyone exaggerates a little bit sometimes, but at least try to keep it realistic. The 1/8 at 115? Add to it the single lambo door and the salvage title, and it's obvious he is in over his head.
But that also doesn't excuse the Joe Rogan look-alike for being a total a-hole. It would have been plenty easy to give the kid the embarrassment he deserved without being a doucher about it. And when the other guy got his buddies involved to gang up on someone half his size - majorly weak.
I find it extremely fitting that those some of those guys were revealed to be Firebird owners. It all is just more evidence of the truth of John Gabriel's Greater Internet Fuckwad Theory...
