Anyone try this? I'd like to put a bit more rubber on the ground with a tad shorter sidewall. I know 245 is correct but I don't wanna go that big. Speedo will read a tad high but I'm most concerned with the steering response. The 235 size really opens the door as far as available hipo rubber!

yeh used to run 235/40 federal 595's

I had 235s, works great, perhaps lil better acceleration due to smaller size. I tracked / street drove RX-615s like this for a couple years.

Cool. I'm choosing between 190 dollar Star Specs, 264 buck PS2s, and 233 clam AD08s. They are 26, 22, and 25 lbs, respectively. The stock Dunlop 2050s are 25.

i am running 235 all around on a 18x8.5 buddy club rims works great .on 18x8 should be good. i would highly recommend "Nitto Nt-05". 200 tread wear,AA traction,A Temp. 3 ply sidewall. i used to run 245 and 255 but if your car dose not have extra power .i would go with 235 for over all performance .

had 245/40/18 nitto nt-05's, got them for $167 per... might be a good option...

I see that the 235/40 would put me another half-inch lower! Thats 2 inches along with my lowering. Could I even get up the Rhinos then?

I was wondering the same. The cost difference is huge from going from the 225 to a 245/40/19

but 245/40R19 has a slightly smaller diameter tho, so should be pretty easy to brake traction.

a 245/35 is the correct plus zero. a 245/40 is larger in diameter.

I ran 245/40/R17 (yeah, 17) Falken Azenis RT-615's. Fantastic setuo, I recommend it. Don't waste money on all-seasons.
