Jbk did his 40th anniversary wheels(same as 09+ non R3) in gold, he got them powdercoated. I think they look decent, would look really good in black or powdercoat. Here is a pic he posted in his other thread.

Yeah I want to see black and gunmetal, I think both would look really good. I've debated doing mine in gunmetal if they can even do that but can't pull the trigger at the current time.

I just had my wheels powder coated this past weekend I'm not 100% sure that I really like the color now lol....I'll give it a few days, but I might have them redone more of a charcoal/black color.....

My thoughts exactly...It's a pearlescent gunmetal color and it looks gorgeous...I'm just not sure that it works well in my case...*sigh*

I had them done for $70 a corner (and that's clear coated too). Also....I had some curb rash where I lightly grazed the curb a few months back on one wheel, so this was fixed and looks brand new! Here's one more pic that I just took....

I'm just using the stock struts and Megan Racing springs. I really like the drop, and I've had no problems at all with them

Farside, I love the wheels! I think I will do something similar on mine if I can't find a place in the Tampa, FL area to do it for a similar price. I think the gunmetal color would look amazing on my gray RX-8.

Well....if there is anyone in the Jacksonville, NC area....that has 09+ wheels (in great condition) and would like to purchase these wheels off me for a nominal price (oh, say ~$200 + factory '09 wheels) let me know

I think they would look excellent on silver '8!

No problems at all! I've put ~1500 miles on them so far and they are doing just fine. I'd highly recommend them! They went on with no problems and I love the drop

still though, not sure if i could make that as a broad recommendation if they are designed for the S1 and not the S2. They may happen to fit and ride just fine, but how is it when doing more than daily driving?
