This code is USUALLY generated after X amount of time after someone deletes tha CAT and put on a midpipe.
Some go quite amount of time after a midpipe install before the CEL shows up and some get it right away!
Only real way to mask it is with the Cobb AP.
Dave, might you be confusing the 111 code with a 420 code? The IAT sensor is located in the MAF sensor and the harnesses are somewhat sensitive, as well. Given that K/N and nitrous was mentioned in the mods list I would start with MAF-related issues on this one. Since the UIM was replaced, I would actually inspect the entire intake ducting system for cracks and/or leaks, etc. Such issues would normally mostly effect mass readings but I also suspect some details might be lost in translation.

That grill/mesh screen is needed as far as I know. It smooths out the air flow for the MAF, or something along those lines.

Ray............my brainfart. I was looking at three different threads at the same time and didn't notice what I had done. That and doing other multi-tasking. My apologies to the OP......I went back and corrected it.
I clearly wasn't paying attention!

Yes, as I understand it as well, you need at least one of the two screens.

I saw that may have been the case as I posted in those other threads, as well. I was thinking here I may have missed out on some new developments/discoveries and was, like..... :

I'm pulling a DTC P0111 off my Scangauge in pending. Reading over the posted fixes I see that if the IAT is over 104* then this code will trip. It's a pending code and not throwing the cell light. We are on day 60 + of 100* and its usually about 105. Sooo does this mean its just hot as hell and that is tripping this sensor past its threshold of 104?

I checked connections and all looks solid and clean. 15k on the car.
