Insert the plug series II ?

In the glove box of the 2010 RX8 I just purchased are two rubber plugs, still in package. In English it says Insert the plug???where do the go? or do they go anywhere?? Thanks!

thanks! I was just wondering if they came with the car when new? It only has 6700 miles on it.

That is an interior chassis plug. Part # FD01-56-051

I believe it is used prior to interior carpeting to plug up access holes from manufacturing and assembly.

OK...but do I need to install them? did anyone else who has a 2010 get these plugs with the car?

No we did not get them as an uninstalled accessory. I believe you will need to pull up the carpeting to see if there is already a set installed. I dont really know why they would have included that in your car uninstalled (maybe someone bought an extra set for some reason and left it in the car?)

As it clearly shows in the provided pictures they are for sealing off the chassis strap-down holes in the frame underneath the car. The dealership is supposed to have installed them as part of the inspection procedure.
