Front passenger clicking noise

Started happening recently. I will have to investigate a little further, but maybe you guys can throw some ideas out for me. Basically I noticed it a few weeks ago. I go to the mailroom to my apartment, stop the car, e-brake, get out, get my mail. Coming back, i drive forward and follow the road to the little intersection a few feet ahead. I need to bear just a tad to the right, and it is at a decline. As i do this, I hear a "CLICK CLICK" noise coming from what i believe is the front right (passenger) side.

This is the only time I have heard this, and it happens pretty much every day when i get mail. Maybe the front end links? not sure, but I will check, just curious if anyone else had some ideas.

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&sour...01608&t=h&z=20

Here is the area ... Follow the arrows around the mail room. The google map arrow is where I start to bear right and hold the brakes, thats when i hear the noise. I am going no more than 5 mph.

Left and right turns, no matter how slow, do not duplicate the problem when I am pulling in or out of my street. Seems that the decline may have something to do with it?

FYI its less of a click, and more of a noise that would be made if someone was tapping against the plastic bumper ... hope that makes sense

This might be a non-issue here ...

i think it's my brake sticking ... i just tried to reproduce the problem, and it never happens unless i stop the car and throw up the parking brake like i do when i go get mail. Gotta be something moving around in the brakes. I feel like i seen threads on this so I will look around, thanks guys.

Well looks like it may have nothing to do with the brakes .... Yesterday I was backing out of a parking lot slowly, and turning the wheel to the left, as I was backing out I heard "knock....knock....knock.....knock"

Looked up some threads here and some people (even myself) mentioned the swaybar endlinks but it isn't that, gunna check the camber bolt torque, as well as the lug torque specs ....

odds that it could be the CV?

Check the plastic liners. Maybe a few screws are missing?

Usually the plastic would flap while moving...

Just brain storming.

Can anyone say..

Calling Monchie?

Lol thanks, I will take a look there,... it doesn't sound like that kind of noise but its worth a look.

I dont know if it has to do with my steering rack at all, no noise is made when I turn the wheel right or left at a stop, or during regular driving. I haven't tried full lock right and left at a stand still, I will do that today when I get out of work.

Strange thing is I back out of my garage the same way I backed out of a parking spot this weekend. This weekend there was a noise coming out of the spot ... but no noises when i come out of my garage.

Just to rehash, it is a knocking noise ... a second apart

A small stone or a small bolt/nut stuck in your wheel tyre tread?
